Cheapest prop firms 2026

Budget challenges are how most traders start — but the cheapest ticket isn't automatically the cheapest path to a funded account. We compared what the smallest real tickets cost, what account they buy, and which rules travel with the low price.

How we ranked them: Ranked on the cheapest real entry ticket, what it buys (account size, targets), and the rules attached at the budget tier — minimum days, consistency scores, payout minimums. Prices verified July 28–30, 2026; ours are live. Full disclosure: For Traders is our product. That's exactly why every claim here carries a number you can check, every firm gets its cons listed, and where a competitor is better at something, we say so.

Pay After Pass $9 · challenges from $17 · no minimum trading days · 8% Phase 1 target · 48h payout guarantee

Two budget routes: a challenge from $17, or Pay After Pass for $9 — start now, activate the funded account once you've passed. Both carry the same 8% Phase 1 target and no minimum trading days, so the cheap ticket isn't a harder ticket.

Pros
  • $9 Pay After Pass — the lowest start price in the industry
  • No minimum trading days; lowest Phase 1 target in this list (8%)
  • 48-hour payout guarantee applies at every account size
Cons
  • Cheapest tickets buy small starting accounts (as everywhere)

$19 · $2.5K High Stakes · 10% targets · bi-weekly payouts min $150 · 3.5% commission on some payout rails

The lowest sticker in the industry — $19 for a $2.5K High Stakes — from the oldest firm in this list with best-in-class review scores. The budget tier keeps the program's 10% targets and 3 profitable days per step, and payouts run bi-weekly with a $150 minimum plus a 3.5% commission on several rails.

Pros
  • $19 entry — lowest single ticket anywhere
  • Best-in-class trust scores (4.7/5 at 1,253 PFM reviews)
Cons
  • 10% Phase 1 target — steepest in this list
  • Bi-weekly payouts, min $150, 3.5% commission on some rails

FundingPips

Lowest classic 2-step4.2/5 · 1,147 reviews (Prop Firm Match)Full comparison →

$29 · 2 Step Pro $5K · min 3 days per phase · split tied to payout cadence (weekly = 60%)

$29 for a $5K two-step — the lowest classic-structure ticket. The economics live in the split: it depends on the payout cadence you pick (weekly pays 60%, on-demand 90% needs a 35% consistency score), and funded accounts above $25K run a striking system.

Pros
  • $29 for a classic $5K 2-step — the category benchmark
Cons
  • Split tied to cadence: weekly payouts = 60% share
  • Striking system above $25K; minimum 3 days per phase

Blueberry Funded

Budget with a hard rule4.1/5 · 607 reviews (Prop Firm Match)Full comparison →

$30 · $2.5K Prime · flat 1.5% risk per trade idea on funded — exceeding it closes the account

$30 gets a $2.5K Prime challenge with no consistency rule by name — instead there's a flat 1.5% maximum risk per “trade idea” on funded accounts, and exceeding it is a hard breach with instant closure. Cheap entry, unforgiving execution rule.

Pros
  • $30 entry with no named consistency rule
Cons
  • 1.5% risk-per-idea rule: one oversized position closes the account
  • PFM profile currently “Under review”

Choosing a prop firm — FAQ

The cheapest start anywhere is Pay After Pass at $9 — you begin trading now and activate the funded account after passing. The cheapest classic tickets are our challenges from $17, The5ers at $19 and FundingPips at $29; all buy small starting accounts, which is the honest trade-off of the budget tier.

Sometimes — that's the real price. Check the target (10% vs 8% Phase 1), minimum trading days, and how the split behaves at the budget tier. A $19 ticket with a 10% target and a $150 payout minimum can cost more in practice than a $17 ticket with an 8% target and no minimum days.

Payout minimums and commissions (some firms charge 3.5% on certain rails), splits tied to payout cadence, paid add-ons for terms other firms include, and rebilling if the product is a subscription. The sticker price is rarely the whole price.
